On sept 22nd, Guy Meynants, engineering fellow at AMS and a co-founder of CMOSIS, will speak at the European Imaging & Sensors Summit, a new flagship event dedicated to imaging technology, organized by SEMI.
Guy will report on AMS' high resolution global shutter image sensors, used for several machine vision applications such as inspection, factory automation and machine vision, and for 4K and 8K video. The newest development is a 47 MPixel 8K x 6K image sensor with 4.6 µm pixel pitch and in-pixel correlated double sampling. Aspects of the design of this chip will be shown, such as its global shutter structure, the large form factor, its 30 fps operation and 4K 2x2 binned 68 dB modes.
